BUOY
Rope, thread, wicker & ceramics. 2021
The Hannah Peschar Sculpture Garden invited MA & BA students from UAL Camberwell Sculpture to participate in an award program. This is the work I proposed and was given the opportunity along with ten other students to install my work within this magical private sanctuary.

The duality of process and materiality is primary within my practice.
This work was created as a direct response to the importance of sustainability.
The coiled rope buoys are inspired by maritime law, whereby a buoy signals an object that was discarded at sea during treacherous times and retains claim to the attached artifact. These hand-woven objects represent the turmoil of survival and questions the decisions made during our climatic state of emergency.
